Nokia made the N97 Mini official and launched two new phones – the X6 and the X3 at the Nokia world which was held on September 2nd.
Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, CEO, Nokia, said, “Nokia aims at reaching the many, not the few, with our rich portfolio of services. We are doing this through an increasing number of open partnerships with world leaders in many fields. We are proud to lead the charge in smartphones and beyond as manifested in the Nokia N900 and Nokia Booklet 3G, two great examples of how the world is changing and Nokia is driving this change.”

Some serious N-series skill sets foot on American soil, as Nokia N79 and N85 are now official in the US. The pair sure took their time to finally get US 3G sorted. Wi-Fi, GPS and a wealth of media on Symbian S60 are no news.
Available in Europe since late August, both Nokia N85 and N79 are solid all-rounders, which make a worthy upgrade option for a number of ageing N-series handsets.
Both devices boast a 5MP auto-focus shooter with Carl Zeiss optics, VGA video, FM transmitter, 3.5mm audio jack and TV out. The higher-ranking dual slider N85 is complete with an outstanding OLED screen and tri-band UMTS, while the N79 bar gets noticed for its smart Xpress-On covers. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s here folks – the first S60 fully touch-operated device has finally hit the shelves. Nokia kept up to their promise and released the handset before the end of November. Unluckily the price of the 5800 XpressMusic is still far from the 279 euro that Nokia promised when they officially announced the phone.
Currently the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic costs slightly more than 700 euro (900 US dollars) in most of the online shops. The mass launch of the device now will most probably lower the retail price closer to the estimated target just in time for Christmas. Read the rest of this entry »
