The ASUS G53 is the highend 15.6” model of ASUS’s “Republic of Gamers” (ROP) notebook range. It shares a similar design to the 17.3” G73. The main selling point of this model is the optional 15.6” LED backlit display with 3D (standard HD and Full HD options available). This display has embedded sensors and the 3D feature will be used with active shutter glasses.

ASUS G53 is powered by Intel’s Core i series processors and Nvidia’s enthusiast graphics with their “3D Vision” technology. Other features includes two 2.5” standard hard rive compartments, optional Blu-Ray Combo drive, and up to 16GB of ram (quad core models only). Connectivity options include wireless-N, gigabit ethernet, USB 3.0 port, HDMI output, and 3.5mm audio in/out jacks. As with most gaming notebooks the G53 is by no means an ultraportable, but with it’s rich set of features and powerful components it is a portable desktop replacement.

Asus UL80JT Price

The Asus UL80JT is a high-end laptop designed specifically for gaming; which means the included features and hardware are meant to provide performance first and foremost.

The Asus UL80JT laptop includes a fully overclockable Intel Core i7 processor to provide an easily upgradeable performance option. What makes the Asus UL80JT unique is the on-board NVIDIA GeForce 310 series card that works in tandem with an integrated Intel graphics chipset; the two cards are switched “second by second” by the machine itself to provide better performance and longer battery life.Not much else is known about the included features of the Asus UL80JT; most importantly there is no announced MSRP or release date however, the device should be release before the end of the year.

The Asus NX90JQ is a high-end 18.4″ entertainment laptop. It first attracted attention at CES 2010 for its distinctive, though less-than-portable design, featuring dual trackpads and Bang & Olufsen speakers above and on either side of the screen, and will be released alongside the 15.6″ N53JQ and 17.3″ N73JQ in late summer. The range of available components is mostly identical across the three models, all intended to provide exceptional performance for a notebook computer.

Asus NX90JQ, however, is the only model with a full-HD, 1920×1080 screen resolution. Buyers can choose one of three quad-core, Turbo Boost-enabled Intel Core i7 CPUs, and between 8 and 12GB of RAM. Optical drive options include a Blu-ray reader or burner, while an HDMI port allows HD video to be output to larger displays. A 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 335M GPU enables adequate gaming performance. To prevent overheating, several thermal-compound cooling options are offered for both the GPU and CPU. Bluetooth is standard, as is USB 3.0 connectivity, which multiplies USB 2.0 bandwidth by a factor of more than six. The laptop is equipped with two hard drive bays, and is available with up to 512GB of solid-state storage.

The Asus U30Jc is a feature packed 13.3” notebook from ASUS. Intel’s Core i3 processor and Nvidia’s Optimus Technology provides a balance of performance and battery life on the go. Advertised with 9.5 hours of battery life the Asus U30Jc is more than just another portable notebook; with HDMI, high definition LED screen, and Altec Lansing speakers it doubles up as a multimedia notebook.

NVIDIA’s Optimus Technology will automatically switch between the GeForce graphics card and the integrated Intel graphics depending on your applications to conserve battery life and to provide performance when you need it.
