CrunchPad tablet with buit-in 3G Connectivity

Last we heard, TechCrunch’s Michael Arrington wasn’t ready to talk about a timeframe for the release of his self-proclaimed “science project,” the CrunchPad tablet. That’s not the case for The Straits Times, however, who’ve published an article claiming that developer Fusion Garage is aiming to get the device out to the masses by November of this year, just in time for Christmas shopping.

iriver working up on Android-based K2 Media Player

Take it for nothing more than it is rumor, but word on the Australian streets is that irivermay have an Android-based portable media player on the horizon. According to local distributor C.R. Kennedy’s iriver product manager, Danny Bejanoff, the outfit is looking to take on Apple’s iPod touch directly.

Motorola's Android Pepped Shole Mobile

Motorola has moved from Windows Mobile to to Android in order to cut down costs. Now, details of Motorola’s Android based Sholes have surfaced on Motofan.ru, a Russian site. Motorola Sholes will support CDMA and EVDO Rev A networks and will have a 3.7-inch touchscreen. iPhone Vulnerable to Hacker Attacks

Security experts have uncovered flaws in Apple Inc’s iPhone that they said hackers can exploit to take control of the popular device, using the tactic for identity theft and other crimes. Users need to be warned that their iPhones are not entirely secure and Apple should try to repair the vulnerability as soon as possible, they said at the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas, one of the world’s top forums for exchanging information on computer security threats.

“It’s scary. I don’t want people taking over my iPhone,” Charlie Miller, a security analyst with consulting firm Independent Security Evaluators, said in an interview. Miller and Collin Mulliner, a Ph.D. student at the Technical University of Berlin, also discovered a method that allow hackers to easily knock a victim’s iPhone off a carrier’s network.It prevents users from making calls, accessing the Internet and exchanging text messages, they added.
